THE SHOELACE

Certified Bureau of Knot Permanence. Est. 2026. Every bow tied here has been tied correctly. None have stayed that way.

About the Bureau

The Bureau exists to certify shoelace bows at the moment of tying, a narrow but exacting mandate it has never once needed to revise.

The Tying Protocol

Each bow is formed, inspected, and certified sound before the Bureau's own clock begins counting down to its disassembly.

On Hold Duration

Hold time is randomized within a range the Bureau considers generous. No bow has ever been informed of the range in advance, and none has asked.

On Certified Permanence

Permanence is measured and always reported as zero percent, a figure the Bureau stands behind fully and has never once revisited.

Standing Policy

The Bureau does not offer a double knot, has reviewed the request internally, and has concluded the review was unnecessary.
